797 Elks Golf Club

The 797 Elks Golf Club offers 18 holes with watered fairways and is a very walkable course. Driving range and practice green compliment this facility. Adventure Cove Golf Course

Anliot-Davidson Woods

885 Pyle Road - 1 mi. east of Clarksville Road and Pyle Road in Adams Township. 58 acres of steep rolling topography dominated by a mixed forest of deciduous hardwoods and evergreens with white CCPD boundary posts. 0.8 miles of hiking trails. Caesar Creek State Park

Cherrybend Pheasant Farm

Cherrybend Pheasant Farm is the premier upland pheasant hunting preserve in southwest Ohio. This 600+ acre preserve/grain farm offers the ultimate bird hunting experience. Due to the thick cover and challenging fields, hunting with a dog is required. Experienced guides and trained dogs are available. Clinton County Trails Coalition

29 1/2 miles of abandoned rail lines are being converted into a recreational trail - perfect for cyclists, hikers, walkers and nature lovers. Work continues on this project. Presently there are eight trails totaling five miles. 1-877-4-A-VISIT.

Clinton County YMCA

Collett Woods Nature Preserve

8901 SR 73 W - 1.5 mi. west of Caesar Creek Market in Chester Township. 60 acres of mature forest with 1.2 miles of hiking trails and marked white CCPD boundary posts. There are several examples of Canadian granite erratic rocks deposited in the Preserve. Wonderful wildflower communities April through June. No bow hunting at any time. Cowan Lake State Park

Recreational opportunities abound at this state park in Clinton County totaling 7,000 acres. This acreage covers 700 acres of water, 1,000 acres of beach, four miles of hiking trails and one mile of mountain bike trails. The Cowan Lake region was once a stronghold of the Miami and Shawnee Indians and has a fine stand of beech-maple forest. Twenty-seven family cabins are available year-round for fantastic getaways. Camping is also a popular activity at Cowan Lake with 254 campsites, 237 with electric. Culberson (Dean A) State Nature Preserve

This 238-acre preserve is one of the few examples of the "white swamp forest" which once covered the uplands of southwestern Ohio. The forest grows on poorly drained, "white clay" soil which formed on the glacial materials deposited during the Illinoian glacial period. The swamp forest is dominated by red maple and pin oak with substantial stands of shagbark hickory, shellbark hickory, swamp white oak, American elm and sweetgum. The northern shrub, winterberry, grows here near its southern limit, while the sweetgum, a southern species, is near its northern limit. Summer wildflowers include purple fringeless orchid and cardinal flower. The state-listed northern fox grape also occurs here. The preserve is located in Clinton County approximately 1 mile southwest of Cowan Lake State Park. From SR 350, proceed south 1 mile on SR 730 to the preserve entrance. No facilities are available. Dr. Nathan Hale Woods

2979 Clarksville Road at the intersection of Cowan Creek Road in Vernon Township. This 60 acres of riparian corridor has been identified twice by the Ohio Biological Survey as the most unique area in Clinton County. Great fishing during the spring and early summer and designated Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society. Healthy amphibian, reptile and wild turkey populations as well as a rich biodiversity of plants. Limited bow hunting with written permission of the park board. J. W. Denver Williams Jr. Memorial Park

This 26-acre park plays host to many activities for children of all ages and features a unique handicapped-accessible playground.
